10 Kettlebells principles:
- Build from light to heavy
Start with light kettlebells when you’re first learning a new move and then progress according to the numbers - Technique comes first
Performing with good technique is called efficiency. Take your time to learn proper technique. It will save you time and energy during a workout. - Truth in numbers
Always write down the numbers (reps, sets, duration, weight…) to track your progress - Build an explosive pulling pattern
With exercises like The Clean and The Snatch you will build unmatching pulling power - Build an explosive pushing pattern
With exercises like The Jerk you will build unmatching pushing power - Build strength, not stiffness
Build a strength that is functional and useful, not just stiffness that cannot be used anywhere. - Build endurance
Build endurance to recover faster from workout to another and as a skill by itself - Build flexibility
We need enough flexibility to perform certain moves properly like a shoulder press. We don’t need to be contortionists but go ahead if you want to. - Build symmetrically
Symmetrical qualities maintain balance between different planes of motion to prevent injuries - Pain free
Never train while in pain. Always give yourself the necessary time to recover and come back stronger and always regress as needed.
